MOVIE NEWS

Jimmy Hayward, according to The Hollywood Reporter, has been hired to direct the film based on the DC Comics character Jonah Hex.

Shazam, the planned movie based on the DC Comics' Captain Marvel, has been shelved according to the the writer, John August, on his blog.

20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. have decided to let Judge Feess decide whether or not Watchmen will be released on March 6th. Judge Feess will make his decision on January 20th. via The Los Angeles Times

A LA Judge said last week, according to The New York Times, that Fox owns the rights to distribute Watchmen. The judge told both Fox and Warner Bros to look towards either an appeal or a settlement, but Fox's lawyers have said they plan to stop the release of the film, from Superhero Hype.
