Geek News for Wednesday June 4, 2008

The first day of news for this blog, and it is a slow news day. Oh well, here is the geek news for June 4th.

First up, Superheroflix is reporting that Donald De Line, producer for Warner Bros., confirmed the studio has plans to make a Green Lantern movie, and not the comedy movie they tried to make 5 or 6 years ago with Jack Black, but a serious Green Lantern movie. The script is being written by Greg Berlanti, will focus on Hal Jordan and has no connection to the attempted Justice League: Mortal movie.

And finally ( told ya it was a slow news day), Kryptonsite is reporting that Justin Hartley has signed on as a series regular for the 8th season of Smallville. Hartley, who first appeared in the season six episode Sneeze, plays Oliver Queen a.k.a The Green Arrow.
