Sony has announced that they will exclusively have Punisher: No Mercy for download on the PSN. The game will be an arena first-person shooter, like Unreal Tournament.

Lucasarts has released new footage of their upcoming game, Fracture.

MOVIE NEWS

Warner Bros. does not know what to do with the Superman movie franchise, according to slashfilm at least. They want to do another movie be cause it has the potential to do good and make them a good bit of money but at the same time they were disappointed with Superman Returns, so they don't know whether to make a sequel or to star from scratch with a reboot.

Now in the words of Professor Farnsworth, "Good news, everyone", Punisher: War Zone is rated R and apparently was never going to be rated PG-13. via Ain't It Cool News.

If your a comic book fan, like me, your hopefully excited about the movie adaptation of Watchmen, which will come out March 6 as long as Fox doesn't have its way. It seems they are a little mad about Warner Bros. releasing this movie at all and is suing them, claiming they (Fox) own the rights to distribute a Watchmen film and at the same time Warner Bros. says that they own the rights. At this point in time Fox doesn't want to share profits with Warner Bros. and wants the production on the movie to stop. via Slashfilm.

In some happier Watchmen news, Kevin Smith has seen the movie and puts all of my worries to rest about the movie by saying, "It's fucking astounding.". The rest of what Kevin Smith thought about Watchmen can be found at Slashfilm.

MOVIE NEWS

Superhero Hype is reporting that Robert Downey Jr. has said that he is willing to play Iron Man for more than the the three films he is signed for.

Lionsgate apparently wants Punisher: War Zone to be rated PG-13, at least accordining to Latino Review and I hope that they are wrong because I'm going to say this once...NO PUNISHER MOVIE SHOULD BE RATED ANYTHING UNDER R!!!!!!!!

For those of you who have not bought any of the this or the preivious generations' consoles and don't want to miss out on all the Rock band fun, here is some good news for you. Amazon is selling Rock Band 2 for the Nintendo 64...okay not really it is just a mistake on the listing for the Wii version but someone needs to buy it for the N64 and then complain/sue Amazon because of it. I just think it would be funny.

MOVIE NEWS

First up, according to The Wienstien Company's website, Fanboys is coming out in September at some point. For those that don't know Fanboys is about a group of friends who in 1998 journey to Skywalker Ranch to try to steal Episode 1 before its release.

Next up, according to The Hollywood Reporter Appian Way, Leonardo DeCaprio's production company, and Warner Bros. want to make a Twilight Zone movie. They are currently looking at the episodes for a couple that could be used to create a story line for the movie.

In other movie news, according to Slashfilm the God of War movie has a director and that director is Brett Ratner, director of such great films as X-Men 3 and Rush Hour 3. Hopefully he'll leave the project or else I'd bet this movie will suck.

And finally, ign has the new trailer for Punisher: War Zone.

First up, Gamer Reports has some screen shots of Soul Caliber 4's character selection screen that reveal that Vader will be available on the X-Box 360 version and Yoda will be available on the PS3 version as downloadable content.


And in other fighting game news, Siliconera has revealed that the Joker and Green Lantern are in Mortal Kombat vs. DC universe. At this time it is unknown which Green Lantern will be in the game.
