The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Smallville's former show runners, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, have been hired to right the script for the film adaptation of the anime Robotech, set to be produced by Tobey Maguire.

MOVIE NEWS

Variety is reporting Jude Law is currently in talks to play Dr. Watson opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Warner Bros.' 2010 Sherlock Holmes movie.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Stephen Chow has been cast as Kato, Green Hornet's sidekick, and will direct the upcoming Green Hornet movie (June 25, 2010).

William Shatner has responded to the comments J.J. Abrams comments from early in the month, saying that he was never approached by anyone for a cameo and then goes on to praise himself.

is reporting that Brett Ratner is in talks to direct the new Conan movie. Why are people even bring up his name to direct films after he completely destroyed the X-Men 3.

It appears as though Micheal Caine was mistaken when he told MTV about the villains for the third Batman movie or at least the part about Phillip Seymour Hoffman being the Penguin as Mr. Hoffman told MTV that he has not even talked to Christopher Nolan or Warner Bros. about the role.

And while on the subject of false rumors from yesterday, Marvel has come out and said that they have never even thought about casting Will Smith as Captain America. via Slashfilm

Slashfilm has found out why William Shatner will not be in the eleventh Star Trek,and that reason is basically Shatner loves Shatner and will not do cameos.
